| 授業のねらいと達成目標 /Course Objectives |
Students will learn English listening and speaking skills, while engaging in the communicative exchanges which occur naturally in the discourse framework introduced with the topic contents. |
| 授業概要 /Course description |
In this English only class, we will look at multiple aspects of music, including lyrics, artists, songs, videos and historical aspects of musical influence. We will use this as a basis for discussions and presentations. Students will be expected to research, introduce and analyze songs, artists and other areas of musical genres. |

Conversation activities about the holiday. 第2回:The show must go on: musicals on stage and screen. 第3回:Make it happen: English game construction based on the theme of music. 第4回:Suddenly I see: analyzing lyrics for meaning. 第5回:Fight the power: music as social protest. 第6回:Another round 1: preparation for presentation about an artist you like. 第7回:Another round 2: presentations and Q and A about artists you like. 第8回:10 things I hate about you: discussing dislikes and prejudice in music 第9回:Imagine: influential artists in music history. 第10回:I write the songs 1: lyric writing activity, genre and structure. 第11回:I write the songs 2: lyric writing activity, composition and submission. 第12回:Lyric: lyrical analysis, students choice. 第13回:Play the game: students use and evaluate game activities prepared by other students. 第14回:Your song 1: students create activities about a song for other students to complete. 第15回:Your song 2: students complete activities prepared by other students. |
